KickFit isn't just about martial arts - this is simply one of the many skills you learn and only one of the many benefits of training at Kickfit.
FITNESS
We can have you sweating in a
30 second round of hitting pads. We can develop you from a "half a press
up from your knees" to 10 one armed proper press ups in a very short time. We can train you to world championship fitness. We know how to make you fit and we know how to encourage you to go further. You don't need to be fit to start here - it's our job to get you there.
FUN AND ENJOYMENT
The most rewarding way of exercising is having a
good time, having a laugh and seeing the difference in a short time - this is what will keep
you exercising. This is what we do at KickFit. We are serious about what we do but we do enjoy ourselves as well - why else would students return year after year? If you want to come away from an evening out having enjoyed yourself, improved yourself and learned something new then this is the place for you.
HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT
We have students losing weight all over the place - so much so we keep a weighing machine under the desk so you can weigh as you pay (!) - and only you can see the reading! The best way to lose weight (besides a healthy diet) is exercise.
SELF ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE
Most people don’t have enough of this - often because they
are not praised for doing well. We know how to build your self esteem and
confidence. We know how to encourage you. We know how to push you to your limits and watch the delight on your face when go beyond them. Many people think they "can’t do". We've never found one yet who has defeated us. We find a way - we work round limitations and we show you how to succeed.
COORDINATION
This
is not about patting your head with one hand and
rubbing your stomach with the other. This is about knowing where your body is in
relation to the rest of the world. We show you how to use your whole body behind a small action. We show you how to move around fast and accurately – no matter what size or weight you are. We show you how train without causing injury. We teach you how to look good and be effective.
MAKING FRIENDS
Healthy bodies – healthy minds. We train in a respectful, friendly environment. Everyone is here not only to learn but to help as well. We take time to make everyone feel welcome and part of the academy. Students socialise with one another. Our surveys of students show that the friendliness here is rated very high.
DEALING WITH AGGRESSION
You can learn to control your aggression; you can learn to channel your aggression. You can learn to use this energy in a far better way
SELF IMPROVEMENT
Do you want to be
even better than you are now? Do you want to look in the mirror and see yourself improving every day? We are teaching you life skills that you can use in your everyday. You can gain the respect of others, not just because you are learning martial arts but because they will see an all round improvement.
DO YOU HAVE A BARRIER TO TRAINING?
How dull is working
out on gym equipment? Squash courts and tennis courts booked up? Is the football pitch waterlogged? Is the Swimming pool full of screaming kids? What we teach you can be done in your own back garden. We can tone you whilst you are waiting for the kettle to boil. We don’t do barriers because they just get in the way.
