Moro “Punal” type Kris small Sword,Bone Handle /Scabbard -southern Philippines.
Lovely Moro “Punal” type Kris small Sword With Bone Handle and Scabbard from the southern Philippines. The scabbard is mounted with silver plaited fittings with look to be made from copper. The workmanship is excellent with very nice Foliate engraving to both .The top mount at the scabbard throat has a belt loop which is also engraved. The large Bulbous Ferrell on the Bone “pistol Grip”handle has good wire work in the form of flowers and is silver and gold plaited. The silver plaited cross guard is also has engraved designs. The 15”inch (38cm) wavy serpentine is nicely engraved at the forte with foliate designs to both sides .There is a copper inlayed vain running down three quarters of the length of the blade and terminating with anther piece of engraving ,this is repeated on both sides . The Kris measures 21.75”(55cm). Overall length in the scabbard is 22.5”(57.5cm)Aprox.
Antique Moro Sundang Kris Sword c1900. Very nice and intricately engraved “Naga”Dragon /wavy 20.25”(51.5cm aprox) serpentine blade ,With carved/chisel work to the Ganja and Gandit (Elephants face)also with drilled holes as decoration. Brass stirrup to hold the blade in place called Braca-Braca or Asang-Asang,which is engraved with Foliate designs.. The handle is carved from Carabao/ water Buffallo horn with is called Black Ivory!. There is a brass collar around the handle which is attached to the Braca –Braca by a strip of copper. The pommel of the handle has a carved Bone or Ivory? Skull. Comes with its two piece Exotic Hard wood scabbard held together with two sections of plated Rattan. The length of the Kris is 23”(58.5cm). Overall Length in the Scabbard is 23.75”(60.5cm).

Vintage Moro Kris(Punal) Dagger from Mindanao southern Philippines
Vintage Moro Kris(Punal) Dagger from Mindanao southern Philippines. The wavy blade measurers just under 6”(15cm) with dark age patina and very nicly engraved at the forte with foliate designs on both sides. The wood Handle and scabbard are mounted with silver plated copper engraved with gometric designs to both. The top scabbard mount has a belt clip to the Reverse. The Kris length is 9.5”(24cm).Overall length in the scabbard is 9.75”(25cm).

Very Unusual vintage Kris Dagger -wavy Blade in the form of a Cobra,
Very Unusual vintage Kris Dagger 13” (33cm) wavy Blade in the form of a Cobra,The head of the cobra is engraved with foliate desgns. Silver?/white metal Guard with pierced work showing red cloth though the holes.Long steel ferrel/Coller (selut) between the guard and Nicely carved Dark wood ? or Horn handle. The handle is decorated many white metal(silver?) studs. Comes with its original wooden, leather coved scabbard with nice embossed designs to the front. Top part of the scabbard at the throat/opening has a metal mont and at the bottom of the scabbard is a nicely worked copper chape /end.
The kris measures 16.5(42cm) Arox,from tip of the blade to the top of the handle . Overall length in the scabbard is 17”(43cm aprox) Very intresting one of a kind Kris in very good condition.

Antique Javanese with very nice meteoroid/ watered steel blade , “Pamor Santa”.?

Antique Javanese with very nice meteoroid/ watered steel blade , the pamor I think is called “Pamor Santa”. The straight blade dates from around the 1600-1700’s and measurers 11.5”inches(28.5cm) from the point to the tip of the Ganja. Ganja.2.5”(5.5cm). The keris with handle measurers 14.5”(37.5cm). The Hard wood Handle is carved is the Ukiran (Hulu Keris) Style ,with two carved “Barong” monster faces. Shows very old patina. Set between the Handle and blade is a silver? Looking/whie metal “Mendak” with red and green stones.
The Exotic hard wood scabbard top part is carved in the “Gayaman” style with good old rich patina and dark grain. The long part of the scabbard ”Pendok” is made from Nickle silver(German silver) and is very nicly chased with foliaite designs a double headed swan ,Entwined Snakes and other Birds. There is some ware and damage to the bottom of the pendak , three quarter way up there is a 2.5cm split and some loss to the neck.
Overall length is the scabbard is 17.5”inches (44.3cm).

19th Century Beautifully Carved Indonesian Keris/Kris Dagger
BeautCarvKeris0002 19th Century Beautifully Carved Indonesian Keris/Kris Dagger with an 17th/18th century (possibly even older?) Pamor Blade measuring 14” inches(35.5cm) long and 2.75” inches (7cm) across the Ganja. The blade is watered steel with Meteorite metal Pamor, I think that the pamor is called “Pamor Benda Sagodo”.
This is an outstanding piece of craftsmanship must have taken 100’s of man hours to carve the handle and scabbard with intricate designs. The dark brown Exotic hard wood scabbard with ritch patina is carved with foliate designs with a central feather Bonnet to the upper part of the scabbard. The Handle is carved in the form of a Mythical Demon in a sitting position with his arms folded and with a grotesque face . Set between the handle and the blade is a silver? cup (Mendak). With copper beaded trim.
The Kris measures 18.75”(47.5cm) from the top of the handle to the tip of the blade.
Overall length in the scabbard is just under 23”inches(58cm)
Very good condition with nice rich patina to the wood and good dark grain.

19th Century Beautifully Carved Indonesian Keris/Kris Dagger. Wavy –serpentine , 13 Luk (undulations) Blade measuring 13” inches(33cm) long and 3.25” inches (8cm) across the Ganja. The blade is watered steel with Pamor and carved Elephant face to one side (Gandik) with prominent Trunk (Telale Gadjah).
This is an outstanding piece of craftsmanship must have taken 100’s of man hours to carve the handle and scabbard with intricate designs. The almost black Exotic hard wood scabbard is carved with foliate designs. The Handle is carved in the form of a Mythical Demon in a sitting position with his arms folded and with a grotesque face . Set between the handle and the blade is a silver chased cup (Mendak) and a small copper ring.
The Kris measures 17.5”(44.5cm) from the top of the handle to the tip of the blade.
Overall length in the scabbard is 21.75”(55cm)
Very good condition with nice dark patina to the wood and blade.

Good World War two (WW2) ERA Kukri -Gurkha Rifles Fighting Knife
Good World War two (WW2) ERA Kukri -Gurkha Rifles Fighting Knife . Large and heavy blade of 13” inches on the curve with nicly carved out Chow/ Notch the stop the enamys blood from flowing in to the Gurkhas fingers. Steel blolster/Thumb rest between the carved Hard wood (Rose wood ?) Hilt with nice grain and patina. The is set with four brass discs (two to each side) and two strengthening bands and a large Diamond shape pommel cap to the butt of the hilt ,all have been nickel plaited but now showing ware to reveal that they are made of brass. Comes with a leather coved wooden scabbard with incised geometric patterns and a large brass chape end. Overall very good condition with some signs of expected age ware to the scabbard ect and some dark staining to the blade in places. Overall length of Kukri 17.5”/44.5cm Aprox.

Brass cross guard Nicely carved Handel and scabbard ,Handle with designs of Warriors with feathered headdress and the scabbard carved on both sides with a man with his arms held high ,two different faces and zig-zags. Overall length of dagger 13.75”/35cm aprox. Overall length in the scabbard 17”/43cm.
Very good condition.
An intresting Fighting knife with would be good for the Filipino Martial Arts practitioner of Eskrima, Kali, Arnis , Kuntao and Silat or for the collector .
